Poverty Alleviation ministry in Vietnam

We are delighted to begin a new partnership with Saigon Reformed Presbyterian Church, located in Santa Ana, California, to implement poverty alleviation ministries in rural Vietnam.

Led by Pastor Nguyen Xuan Bao, Saigon Church has been on at least 138 mission trips to Vietnam. Their ministry includes water well construction, bridge construction, and rice bag distribution. Our partnership will focus on the water well ministry.

The wells provide clean sources of local water to villagers who are desperately poor. Their houses have no running water, and the people have been drinking unclean water from storage containers.

Mission Trip Testimony

Greetings,
My name is Chau Ngoc Nguyen, currently working as a pharmacist at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. I am very honored to have the opportunity to accompany Pastor and PhD. Nguyen Xuan Bao in the 138th mission trip. We traveled from Quang Nam to Ca Mau distributing rice bags, inaugurating a new bridge of charity, witnessing freshly-built wells, as well as eyeing herds of goats in Cam Ranh.
Owing to the opportunity to travel along side with Rev. Bao and other companions on this journey embarking from the Central Vietnam and heading South, I got to witness the significant hardship and struggle they experienced.

In partnership with ZOE International, we provide holistic Christian care and restoration for rescued trafficked children in Thailand.

2018 Expansion Snapshot: ZOE Thailand

We have seen many more people come to Christ—well over 1,000 people this year alone! We reached over 5,000 people through our human trafficking prevention programs. We partnered with law enforcement officers from the USA who provided tactical training for elite TICAC officers who conduct rescue and who ZOE serves alongside.

We are finding continued favor—ZOE received numerous awards from several Thai government agencies for our outstanding work in anti-human trafficking. We also became the first non-profit in Northern Thailand to be officially licensed as a Child Protection Center for human trafficking. We have also been able to partner with local pastors all around Thailand through our Mercy Network Ministry and empower them to reach their community.

We rejoice that 135 children/youth survivors are flourishing and healing under our care. Many teens are healing and finding a new life in our new Child Rescue Center. We have received many requests to take more children into our center. But recently we could not accept any more children because we just don't have enough staff to care for them all. We are praying for more funding so we can hire more staff.

Agape Fish Fund partners with Pastor Charlie and Mary to provide basic necessities and Christian care for exploited migrant workers in Taiwan.

Husband Baptized after Family's Trial

While Pastor Charlie and Mary's family has been on furlough in 2018, the Phams have continued their ministry in Taiwan. God used the Phams to closely walk with a local sister who faced a dramatic trial. As a result, this sister's husband came to faith and was baptized.

Prayer Requests from Pastor Charlie

Dear everyone,

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration. Happy new year to you and your loved ones!

Sister Tiến faced a dramatic trial. God used the Phams to closely walk with her through the difficult days. Through the experience, God not only strengthened her but also had her husband surrender to him in faith and receive baptism.
