Agape Fish Fund partners with local churches and volunteers to provide meals, supplies, and Christian support for the homeless in San Jose, California.
On May 17, 2109, our team of six volunteers distributed clothes, food, dog food, socks, band-aids, hand wipes, toilet paper, soap, and toothbrushes to eight homeless people.
We always try to provide the most basic necessities for the homeless every time we visit. We try to provide things like food and hygiene products. For a lot of people, it may seem repetitive, but these are the basic necessities of life. We do not focus on trying to be flashy but do our best to stay consistent with helping those who are less fortunate.
We normally have a place to set up so we can hand out items, but this time we decided to walk into the encampments so that we could reach out to those who are not aware of our usual routine.
Language of Love
In this outreach, we met an individual who did not know too much English, but language is never a barrier when it comes to showing the love of Jesus Christ. Even though there are times when we may not be able to preach Christ, we do our best to always keep doors open to individuals who don’t know Christ because one day there could be a chance where they want to get to know Him.
