Mission: HIS Foundation witnesses the love of Christ through free educational and medical services for indigent students and patients.

Description: Youth Camp is part of the education program of HIS Foundation. It provides a week long recreational and educational program for 50 high school students who are currently receiving our scholarships. These are poor students from rural area with good academic standing. Full or partial scholarships are available to cover the tuition and living expenses for all three years of high school education. Besides providing scholarship, HIS Foundation organizes Youth Camp for the students to help in character building and development of life skills.

HIS Foundation high school scholarship program provides an unique opportunity for poor students from rural area to continue their education. The annual Youth Camp is part of the HIS Foundation education program that allows our scholarship students to attend and learn various life skills such as team building, sharing, planning and execution. It is very beneficial for character building. Most students have never attended similar activities before. The positive impact on students can be long lasting. Fundraising Needs: $10,000

Team Building
The students attended the camp are high school students with good academic standing but from poor families in rural China. They are also current recipients of high school scholarships from HIS Foundation. This is the first time these students attended a youth camp. The camp provides an unique opportunity for character building. Group Discussions
Group discussions under guidance of teachers give opportunities for exchange of ideas and sharing of experience. The positive impact on students can be long lasting. |
Field trips
Outing provides another opportunity for interaction between the students and the teachers. Both get to know each other quickly. The activities also have chances for students to help each other. Lectures
A series of lectures on setting targets for different stages of life. Emphasis are on making decisions, planning, and execution. Lecturers included college professor, engineer, and nurse. |
