Agape Fish Fund partners with Southeast Asian Prayer Center (SEAPC) to provide orphans and children in Cambodia with a Christian home and education. Hot, Rainy seasonCambodia is entering its hottest time of the year and the start of the rainy season. For the next couple of months, temperatures can get well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. As the rainy season begins soon, it can also be a time of flooding. Pray with us for the protection of our children’s homes. Khmer New Year HolidayApril also brings the Khmer New Year holiday season. This is the biggest holiday in the country and can last up to 2 weeks. Because it is best for the kids to keep them in contact with any known family, unless it puts them in physical danger, and the government requires that we allow children to go, many of the kids travel to visit family during this time, usually for up to 1 week.
Please pray with us that the kids who visit family will be the bright light of Jesus to their families and that they will all return safely to the home. For those who are unable to visit families, please pray that they are abundantly blessed during the holiday time.

Agape Fish Fund partners with local churches and volunteers to provide meals, supplies, and Christian support for the homeless in San Jose, California. a new semester of ministryOn Saturday, March 2, 2019, a team of 9 volunteers gathered to relaunch our homeless ministry in San Jose. This was our first time back since last year, and we got to reconnect with a lot of the same people we helped previously.
It was good reconnecting with people we haven't seen in a while, and we got to catch up with each other. It was a satisfying experience due to the fact that we have established real relationships with these people and were able to catch up like old friends. We told them that we were going to be out more consistently and jotted down any items that they might need. We are also teaming up with another church called Christian Worship Center, as we have done before in the past, so things have been picked up where we left off. Agape Fish Fund partners with Pastor Charlie and Mary to provide basic necessities and Christian care for exploited migrant workers in Taiwan. Letter from Pastor CharlieDear family and friends,
In God’s grace, our family returned to Taiwan. The children have gone back to school and seen classmates that they hadn’t seen for a long time. We were concerned about how they would catch up with their friends in terms of academics and the school’s atmosphere. To our surprise, we are proud that our young ones have been adjusting fine and are happy. Praise God for the relief in our heart! A number of ladies have become Christians. Subsequently, we’ve been teaching basic lessons of faith in preparation for baptism at Easter. Furthermore, a few others have diligently witnessed to their families. God has used their testimonies to touch the hearts of their loved ones. It’s exciting news! Thank you for partnering in prayers and support. Bikes for Our childrenAgape Fish Fund partners with O'Keefe to provide tutoring and Christian mentorship to low-income students in East Palo Alto, California. Celebrating 20 YearsWe are so grateful for everyone who has been serving by tutoring, mentoring, and discipling through the low-income tutoring ministry over the years. Last year, 2018, marked the 20th anniversary of when the first group of volunteers moved into different apartments (355 and 360) on O'Keefe Street back in 1998 and started hanging out with the kids.
There have been so many changes over the past 20 years, but God has remained faithful through it all. We are so grateful that he continues to draw people to the neighborhood and the tutoring program. We are praying for all of the volunteers and the families they touch! Chinese New Year greetings and 5 tips to develop a family lifestyle of giving. In February we celebrate Chinese New Year and settle into 2019. If your children receive red envelopes and gifts throughout the year, how can you instill in them that it is more blessed to give than to receive? (Acts 20:35) Wishing you a happy year of the pig! The pig is the 12th of the zodiac animals. One myth says that the emperor decided the order based on the order in which the animals arrived to his party. Pig was the last one to arrive. Those who might be considered last on earth can be considered first in the kingdom. Join us to help bring good news to needy families in East Asia so that "the last will be first." In partnership with ZOE International, we provide holistic Christian care and restoration for rescued trafficked children in Thailand. 2018 Expansion Snapshot: ZOE Thailand
We have seen many more people come to Christ—well over 1,000 people this year alone! We reached over 5,000 people through our human trafficking prevention programs. We partnered with law enforcement officers from the USA who provided tactical training for elite TICAC officers who conduct rescue and who ZOE serves alongside. We are finding continued favor—ZOE received numerous awards from several Thai government agencies for our outstanding work in anti-human trafficking. We also became the first non-profit in Northern Thailand to be officially licensed as a Child Protection Center for human trafficking. We have also been able to partner with local pastors all around Thailand through our Mercy Network Ministry and empower them to reach their community. We rejoice that 135 children/youth survivors are flourishing and healing under our care. Many teens are healing and finding a new life in our new Child Rescue Center. We have received many requests to take more children into our center. But recently we could not accept any more children because we just don't have enough staff to care for them all. We are praying for more funding so we can hire more staff. |
