Agape Fish Fund partners with local churches and volunteers to provide meals, supplies, and Christian support for the homeless in San Jose, California. Christmas GoodiesSanta Clause wasn't the only one getting free cookies at Christmas. On December 23, 2017, we handed out holiday treats, along with practical supplies, to our homeless neighbors. Christmas can be a depressing time for individuals without family, so we wanted to supply individuals not only with necessities, but things to bring a holiday cheer. Normally people only think about bringing basic necessities to the homeless, which is a great thing to do, but we decided to do something different this outreach. We focused on bringing things like cookies and candy to brighten up their holiday spirits. We wanted to go beyond just providing the basic necessities, by providing them things they would truly enjoy.

Agape Fish Fund partners with Adonai Child Rehabilitation, a Christian ministry in Kalaymyo, Burma, to provide discipleship, education, and nutrition to orphans and poor children. First of all, we give all glory to God for His wonderful guidance for the Adonai orphans ministry. God gives us victory in the midst of different kinds of troubles and challenges. We are so honored by the generous support and partnership of Agape Fish Fund for this orphans ministry in Myanmar. We express our sincere thanks to the president and board members of Agape Fish Fund for their faithful commitment and generous support to meet the needs of the orphans' nutrition. And we are so thankful to all our private donors, prayer partners and friends who are standing with us to serve the Lord among these suffering orphans. Health UpdateWinter has come, and the weather is so cold that all the orphans have gotten sick easily since they live in a bamboo house. Among the orphans, 6 of them got sick this month. They had symptoms such as lip pain, mouth pain, headache, toothache, and stomachache. Some of the children had loose teeth, which caused them pain. Mrs. Rev. Thang helped them pull out their loose teeth, and these children could not eat hot or hard food right away. After a few days though they were okay. I am willing to bring all our orphans to a medical doctor to check their stomachs for worms. I suspect they have worms inside their stomachs because they have pain in their stomachs and feel nauseated.

Spiritual GrowthOur main goal is to train the orphans in the way of God and the Christian faith, and God is helping us incredibly in our service and activities. Compared to last year, the orphans have really changed and are equipped by the word of God. Mrs. Rev. Thang is taking responsibility for the daily Bible class, and she has covered the curriculum from two children's teaching books. She has taught all the Bible stories from both the Old Testament and New Testament from a lower level and a higher level. Now she is preparing to teach them deeper lessons from the third book in the curriculum. The children love singing and motion, so we teach the songs and lessons together. The children are rooted in the word of God in their lives. They all are very active in singing, praising God, and doing the Lord’s will. We hope they will surely become men and women who serve God and are involved in God’s kingdom works in their future.

Agape Fish Fund partners with Pastor Charlie and Mary to provide basic necessities and Christian care for exploited migrant workers in Taiwan. letter from charlie and maryDear family and friends,
Last year the detention camp got a new warden. After that, the detention center suddenly closed its doors and minimized visits by evangelical missionaries. After months of prayers and negotiations, there appears to be a new openness! Please pray for favor with the officials so that ministry visits to this detention center will be resumed. For more details, please refer to the excerpt from a missionary's email below. This missionary coordinates the ministries of the detention centers. Here's an update on a migrant worker who's been in a coma for nearly 4 months. He can now breathe on his own, but he is still unconscious. It's been arranged for him to return to his family in his home country on March 4th. Details of the incident are still kept in the dark. The brokers reported that he fell down the dormitory's stairs, so the authorities have no further basis for investigation. May God show mercy! Thank you! unknown woman donates mustard leavesOn Sunday morning in the second week of February, a woman we didn't know came to the ACR orphanage. She brought small mustard leaves to donate for the orphans' curry. She is from Tahan village, a place that's very far away.
She said, "I felt God's call to visit and pray for the orphans." We were so glad to see her visiting us and praying for us. She donated her mustard leaves to our orphanage. She also laid hands on Rev. Thang, the director of the ACR orphanage, and blessed him and anointed him to boldly step further by keeping faith in God. She exhorted and gave a word from the Lord to encourage the ministry of the orphans. We give glory to the Lord for His faithfulness to the ACR orphanage as we step forward by His grace and mercy. We received abundant blessings despite many hindrances and obstacles. God is so kind to us. And we would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to TFish and all the staff and donors in supporting the Adonai orphans in Myanmar to regularly have nutritious food. May the Lord bless each and every one.
