This creative fundraising event connects young musicians for a worthy cause. The Kam sisters started Young Musicians Workshop in 2013 and have hosted it for 5 years now, raising a total of $8800 for poverty alleviation in East Asia.

Elisabeth (Beth) Kam and her sisters have been playing violin, viola, and piano from a young age and especially love playing in quartets. “We wanted to use our gifts and abilities to help others,” Beth shared. As a founding staff member, Beth eagerly anticipates Young Musicians Workshop every summer and has played various roles in the camp over the years, including craft director, game director, and music teacher. This year she took the helm as Director of the entire camp.

“This year’s camp was a huge success!” said Beth. “We had 17 kids attend, our largest camp ever.”

Share the love of Jesus in a nation where 1.7% is Christian
There is nothing quite like getting out of your comfort zone and seeing others who are in desperate need of the gospel message.

Fulfill the great commission
It is the command of God! Mark 16:15

Encourage full-time missionaries
Missionaries far from home need encouragement, resources, and extra hands.

Use your gifts and talents for kingdom purposes
Having God’s heart for the nations makes us better Christians, resulting in our service to Him to grow and expand wherever He plants us.

Meet children who are ready to love and be loved
The person who holds the orphan in loving arms all day is just as useful to God as the person standing before thousands proclaiming the good news.

Vietnam Heart Surgery: Mission Trip Opportunity 2018

Agape Fish Fund partners with Vets with a Mission (VWAM) to provide life-saving heart surgery for poor children in Vietnam.
Picture
You are invited to join our partner Vets with a Mission on one of three medical mission teams to Vietnam in the spring of 2018. These trips include experiences to:
  1. Thua Thien Hue Province
  2. Near Hue City
  3. A Luoi Near the Laotian/Vietnam Border

If you are a medical-health professional, your role will be hands-on with the patients. Physicians, Physician Assistant's and Nurse Practitioners all serve as patient examiners. Nurses serve in triage working up the patients, identifying their health issues before the patients are examined. If you are a dentist, you will be very busy! A Pharmacist is needed to supervise the VWAM pharmacy, a Physical Therapist would do PT, an Ophthalmologist/Optometrist would see eye patients, and so on. Each medical-health professional has an assigned interpreter.

Those who are not medical-health professionals play an integral role on the team in either pharmacy, patient services, or security. There is an important role for each team member to play!
