Rainy Season and DengueIt’s the rainy season, and the likelihood of dengue is higher. Dengue is very dangerous for kids in our country. We treat our orphans and vulnerable kids very well at ACR.
Unfortunately, a terrible dengue struck the ACR kids in September, and we struggled. Our orphaned girl Chin Chin suffered from dengue for over a week. Please pray for us to have partners to create a healthier environment for the suffering kids. FloodingThis month was very eventful. Due to constant heavy rains, the water level rose to the point of flooding the orphans' dormitory. The flooding was so severe that we decided to temporarily move all the orphans to another safe place. Meanwhile, we did our best to prevent the water from damaging the household items. We thank the Lord for helping us during this situation.

First of all, we give all glory to God for His wonderful guidance for the Adonai orphans ministry. God gives us victory in the midst of different kinds of troubles and challenges. We are so honored by the generous support and partnership of Agape Fish Fund for this orphans ministry in Myanmar. We express our sincere thanks to the president and board members of Agape Fish Fund for their faithful commitment and generous support to meet the needs of the orphans' nutrition. And we are so thankful to all our private donors, prayer partners and friends who are standing with us to serve the Lord among these suffering orphans. Health UpdateWinter has come, and the weather is so cold that all the orphans have gotten sick easily since they live in a bamboo house. Among the orphans, 6 of them got sick this month. They had symptoms such as lip pain, mouth pain, headache, toothache, and stomachache. Some of the children had loose teeth, which caused them pain. Mrs. Rev. Thang helped them pull out their loose teeth, and these children could not eat hot or hard food right away. After a few days though they were okay. I am willing to bring all our orphans to a medical doctor to check their stomachs for worms. I suspect they have worms inside their stomachs because they have pain in their stomachs and feel nauseated.

Spiritual GrowthOur main goal is to train the orphans in the way of God and the Christian faith, and God is helping us incredibly in our service and activities. Compared to last year, the orphans have really changed and are equipped by the word of God. Mrs. Rev. Thang is taking responsibility for the daily Bible class, and she has covered the curriculum from two children's teaching books. She has taught all the Bible stories from both the Old Testament and New Testament from a lower level and a higher level. Now she is preparing to teach them deeper lessons from the third book in the curriculum. The children love singing and motion, so we teach the songs and lessons together. The children are rooted in the word of God in their lives. They all are very active in singing, praising God, and doing the Lord’s will. We hope they will surely become men and women who serve God and are involved in God’s kingdom works in their future.
Agape Fish Fund partners with a missionary and local church in Lashio, Burma, to provide meals and ministry for malnourished children in remote areas of Burma under war and conflict .
Our partner missionary trains his disciples and is a tentmaker. He and his team have already been supporting the church in Lashio, helping 40 children, for about 50 cents a day. However, this year there are over 50 children that came from the countryside, due to the increased need. Although the parents are supposed to fund half the food budget, many couldn’t afford to this year because of their fields being ravaged from the war.
