We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and guidance in the ministry of the Adonai orphans. We express our heartfelt thanks to our sponsor Agape Fish Fund for their generosity and heart of love for the poor orphans. And we also express our sincere gratitude to all our prayer partners and private donors, both local and abroad. We pray and wish that our God rewards them abundantly.

Spiritual Growth

Our main goal is to train the orphans in the way of God and the Christian faith, and God is helping us incredibly in our service and activities. Compared to last year, the orphans have really changed and are equipped by the word of God.

Mrs. Rev. Thang is taking responsibility for the daily Bible class, and she has covered the curriculum from two children's teaching books. She has taught all the Bible stories from both the Old Testament and New Testament from a lower level and a higher level. Now she is preparing to teach them deeper lessons from the third book in the curriculum.

The children love singing and motion, so we teach the songs and lessons together. The children are rooted in the word of God in their lives. They all are very active in singing, praising God, and doing the Lord’s will. We hope they will surely become men and women who serve God and are involved in God’s kingdom works in their future.

Educational Growth

Education is the source of human development, and this is our second priority for the Adonai orphans. Mrs. Rev. Thang is giving her time to guide and tutor them in their assignments and homework. Thank God they have improved their skill of education. They're passing their monthly exams with good grades. They've even gotten first or second position in their classes and some rewards from the teachers. One day their teacher asked me to sign a paper to acknowledge their honorarium awards. This is God’s amazing blessings on our orphans.

We told them to pray when they get to their classroom. We told them to pray for God’s protection for all kinds of accidents or harm. Even when they are about to study their lessons, they first pray to God and ask for wisdom. They understand that wisdom is from the Lord and they seek God for improvement in their education.

God's Supernatural Provision

This month the Adonai orphans were really blessed by God through His people. They were glad and honored for these miracles. They clearly understand our God is a loving God and worthy to be worshiped.

1. Two Chickens Donated
Pastor Cung, who is a friend of mine, donated two chickens for the orphans. He wanted to bless the orphans with good nutritious chicken meat. We are so glad for Pastor Cung's love and generosity upon the little orphans. We ask God's blessings for his ministry and his church.

2. Custard Apples Donated
Once when I visited our Elim Preschool at Hakhalay village, a woman (Mrs. Sung Thlia) came to me with full bags of custard apples. I thought that she wanted to sell them to me, but she said she did not want to sell them; she wanted to provide them for the orphans. God is so good to the Adonai orphans. In fact that woman has never seen our orphans, she has only heard that we are serving orphans. God is an amazing God.

3. Corn Donated
One young lady, whose name is Tha Tha, is from a mountain area and donated some corn, enough for three meal's worth for the 9 orphans. She herself is also a young orphan girl. She and her elder sister are farming corn in a big mountain. Tha Tha personally pounded and ground the corn by hand and then brought it when she came to Kalay town. She came to our orphans' home and donated it. We were surprised to receive these unexpected things. God is able to send unknown people to feed His children, like a raven feeding prophet Elijah in the Bible. She also said that she is going to send more for the orphans in the near future. We are so happy for this wonderful gift and pray blessings for her.

4. Chicken Soup Donated
A gentleman named Mr. Kil Mang had a heart to feed the orphans with chicken soup, and he purchased two chickens. He himself cooked it and provided for all our orphans. Actually, he is a poor farmer man, but he really loves the orphans. He said he was an orphan. His parents died when he was a child, and he is an only child. So he felt pity and love upon the orphans and he wanted to bless the orphans how he could. He wishes to provide again next time if he can. All the orphans enjoyed the delicious chicken soup and pray blessings for him.

5. Long Beans Donated
Rev. Tluang Thang, who is a widower, came one day to our orphans with a bunch of long beans. He donated it for the orphans. He is a poor man but his heart of love for the orphans is great. He plucked the beans from his farm and donated them for the orphans. All the orphans enjoyed eating the long beans fried that day. They are so glad and keep him in prayer.

Thanks to Private Financial Partners

The Adonai orphanage expresses our sincere heartfelt gratitude to sister Adar from Melbourne, Australia, for her generous regular support of the equivalent of $75 per month to cover the cost of house rent, the water bill, and the electric bill. We pray God’s blessings for her family.

And also to Mr. Simeon from Texas, USA, we express our thanks for his love donation of $50 per month to support the cost of the Adonai orphans ministry. We appreciate his faith, since he believes that some portion of his tithe should go to the orphans as stated in the Bible. We pray God’s blessings for him.

Prayer Needs

As the winter cold has fallen here, all our orphans are in need of warm clothes. Since they live in a bamboo house, it gets cold, especially at night. This makes them more prone to getting sick. The Adonai orphans covet everyone’s prayers for God’s provision of the warm clothes. All the orphans would like to welcome the birth of our Messiah with warm hearts and warm clothes.

Also we are still lifting our hands to God for the provision of wardrobes or plastic boxes to keep their clothes neat and clean. At present they do not have boxes or wardrobes; they simply keep their clothes in old and ragged bags. We believe that God will provide for all their needs according His glorious riches. To God be all the glory! Amen.
