Project Background

Beneficiaries: Ngọc Lăc Community
Population:  200 people
Four Tribal Groups: Kinh, Mường , Giao, Thánh

There are more than 200 members of the Ngọc Lăc Church, but the regular attendees are usually only 35-45 people in the main church and 15-25 people in the two groups of Lang Chanh and Quang Trung. Some of these faithful attendees live as far away as 55 km (34 miles) from the church.

The church members are of four ethnic groups: Kinh, Mường , Giao, and Thánh, and there are over 70 children from among these ethnic groups in the church as well. Worship services are held in the universal Chinese language.

Adonai Child Rehabilitation is a Christian faith-based ministry in Kalaymyo, Burma that was established in May 2016. This ministry creates a place of rehabilitation for children and teenagers from various backgrounds like orphans, unwanted children, street children, and poor children.
We praise the Lord for His guidance upon the Adonai orphans. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all our prayer partners and special thanks to Agape Fish Fund for their love and generous financial support to meet the needs of the little orphans. May the Lord richly bless you all spiritually and physically.

Summer Class

Miss. Hno, a volunteer summer teacher
We are thankful to two sisters Miss. Hno Chin and Miss. Hoi Tha for volunteering to teach our orphans English, math, Burmese, and Chin. Their morning session is from 8 AM to 10 AM. The orphans have lunch between 11 AM and 12 PM, and then they rest till 2 PM. They continue the afternoon class from 2 PM till 4 PM. Miss Hno Chin teaches in the morning, and Miss Hoi Tha teaches in the afternoon. They both teach two hours a day from Monday to Friday. We are so glad that the children improved their ability on their lessons. All our orphans are very happy to study during the summer class. They are waiting for their exam results from the government school. The exam results will be out next month, and they all hope they will pass their exams and hope to move on to the next grade.

Spiritual Activities for the Summer

Orphans praying
Every morning and evening, the children have devotions and prayer as usual. From 6 AM till 7 AM they have morning devotions, and then they have breakfast at 7 AM. In the evening they have dinner at 5 PM and then they have devotions from 6 PM till 7 PM. After 7 PM, they have a night study of the lessons they learned.
During the morning devotions, Mrs. Rev. Thang leads them in Bible recitation and prayer. In the evening devotions, both Rev. Thang and his wife lead them in singing, dancing, short exhortation, and prayer. When we pray in the evening, the orphans are touched by the Holy Spirit and they usually pray with tears. They cannot stop even during prayer. After prayer we usually shake hands and say " May God bless You" to each other.

He is Risen! Celebrate by bringing new life to a child in need.
Picture
Easter greetings from Agape Fish Fund! As you sing “Christ the Lord is Risen Today,” consider celebrating in a way that changes a life.

One child at a time

With your support, we can help orphans like Thian. Thian is a 9-year-old girl who comes from the small village of Mai Nuai in Burma. Her father died in a car accident in 2014. Her mother was doing illegal business with heroine, and in 2015 she was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Thian cried and went to her church pastor for help.

Thankfully, the Christian orphanage in Burma that we partner with was able to take in Thian. Now she has a safe place to live and a relationship with Jesus. However, she and the other orphans still need support for nutrition, clothing, and education.

help them see the lord

Picture
All of our ministry partners, such as the Burma orphanage, focus both on poverty alleviation as well as evangelism and long-term discipleship for children and families in need. If 350 people each give $100 this year, we can help meet physical and spiritual needs for 500 children and families in 7 different countries.

On that Resurrection Sunday, Mary Magdalene announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” (John 20:18). In celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, will you help give new life to an orphan like Thian? Then, she too can say, "I have seen the Lord!"
