​Glory to God

First of all, we would like to give glory to our heavenly Father who enables us to step forward with His marvelous grace and care. Secondly our sincere gratitude goes to sister Nancy and all the staff at Transparent Fish Fund for their hard work and partnership along with heartfelt prayer to support the Adonai orphans in Kalaymyo, Myanmar. May the Lord bless each and every one of them physically and spiritually.

Poor Neighbor Donates Gourd

God really cares for the orphans as it says in James 1:27. One woman named Hannah, who is our neighbor, brought a very big gourd for our orphans. This is awesome and precious because she was moved by God to love and help our orphans. She planted and grew the gourd on her own farm. She is a poor woman but she loved the orphans and gave them her vegetables. If she had sold it at the market she could have gotten $4 for it. We are so overwhelmed with tremendous joy. We keep her name on our prayer list and will always pray for her family. We mixed that gourd with chicken and fried it so our orphans could enjoy chicken curry with gourd.

​Teenager Donates Slippers

​God moved the heart of a teenager and her mother to help our orphans. Tha Tha, a 13-year-old girl, is friends with one of our orphans Mawi Mawi. When Tha Tha's mother was buying a new pair of slippers for her, God moved the heart of that young teenage girl. Tha Tha asked her mother to buy one more pair for her orphan friend. God also moved the heart of Tha Tha's mother, and without hesitation she purchased one extra pair of slippers for Tha Tha's orphan friend. Our God is a God who cares for orphans.

Bus Service Man Donates Pork​

God also provided wonderful pork meat for our orphans to enjoy. One morning, my wife (Mrs. Rev. Thang) was purchasing chicken from the market for lunch. There was a man there named Mr. Za Tling who works at the bus terminal. He bought 1kg of pork from the market and ran it over to our children's hostel. He said, "I've been wanting to provide pork to the orphans for a long time, but I have been too busy and haven't gotten the chance until now. Please cook it to feed the orphans, and pray for our bus service business."

5 Orphans Healed from Headache

On ​October 3rd it was extremely hot. Here in Myanmar no one can use air conditioning, and only some use fans. In the school there is no electricity, so there are no fans. The classroom is very crowded, so all the children perspired a lot. That evening 5 of  our orphans who attended class were sick and had headaches. They couldn't attend school the following day. 

But thank God they were healed through prayer. I asked them, "Do you believe that you will be healed in Jesus' name by prayer?" And they replied, "Yes, we believe." I laid hand on their heads and prayed for them. God is so good. All their headaches were gone without a single tablet of medicine. Glory to God.

We are also grateful that God answered our prayers for Thla Hnin, and now he is able to walk.

​Spiritual Growth

All our orphans are really growing physically and spiritually. They countdown every week until Sunday. On Sunday they are very excited to go to church to praise and worship our living God. Every Sunday we have a children's session, where they recite Bible verses and sing songs, sometimes singing with actions. I used to preach in the church and all our orphans gave their full attention to the preaching. They are not simply church goers, but really worshipers of the Lord our Creator. They taste the goodness of God and want to glorify Him.

​Tax Exempted

In October, two authorities from the Ministry of Rehabilitation came to our orphans' hostel to demand some tax. They said they would help other orphans or some flood victims through our tax payment and asked for 15,000 Kyats for one year's tax. But I explained to them how we operate the orphanage and showed them a letter of recommendation written by sister Nancy, the president of TFish. Not only that, I had informed the ward administrator and had gotten acknowledgement from him. The authorities were surprised and very glad to hear about our noble charity service. So we were tax exempted by the authorities. We give glory to the Lord for His loving protection.

Waiting for Mid-Term Exam Results

The school had their mid-year exams from October 20-28th. All our orphans are very excited to know their exam results, which will come out next month. Mrs. Rev. Thang divided the orphans into two study groups during their evening study sessions, according to their academic levels. She helped each group with their studies. This strategy had good results last month. Our vision is that one day the orphans will become well-learned men and women who can serve in the government and get good jobs so that they can help their families, churches, and communities.​

A big thanks to sister Adar from Melbourne for her donation of $72 and Mr. Simeon from Midland, Texas for his generous donation of $50 this month to help meet the needs of our orphans. We always remember them in our night prayer. God is so good to His children, especially to the orphans of Adonai. We give glory to God forever. And we express gratitude to all who stretch out their helping hands and always pray to help the Adonai Orphans.
