Orphans in their new winter clothes
First of all we praise the Lord for His faithfulness to the Adonai orphans for His provision and His presence in our daily movements. And we also express our heartfelt gratitude to all our prayer partners locally and internationally. Special thanks goes to the organization Transparent Fish Fund for their love, prayers, and generous support. May God bless everyone who partners with us in prayer and sowing finances.
Firewood Donation

A 57-year-old woman named Mrs. Iang Chin from Hman Daw village came to our hosel by tricycle and brought a bunch of firewood on December 16th. This was her story.

Her child was sick and admitted to the hospital. She brought some firewood to the hospital to cook rice for themselves. Her child recovered soon and they were about to go home, which was 50 kilometers away. She wanted to donate her firewood, so she searched around.

She heard about the Adonai orphans from another woman who had helped our orphans by giving them bananas. And so she came to the Adonai hostel and gave us the firewood to cook rice. The firewood she gave will be used for cooking for three days.

We are so glad for her loving kindness upon the poor orphans. Even though her gift was small, her loving heart is great and immeasurable.

Winter Clothes Purchased

As December is very cold here, all our ophans need warm clothes, since they live in a house made of bamboo. We have been praying to God for winter clothes, and God answered our prayer. Henry and Lisa Chang, donors from Transparent Fish Fund, helped with $25 for each of the 11 orphans to get new clothes. We purchased warm jackets, warm pants, socks, shoes, and winter hats. They all are so happy for new winter clothes. They all say thanks and pray blessings for sister Nancy, her organization, and the donors.

As our country Myanmar is a Buddhist country, about 90% of the population is Buddhist. The government made a law to pray and worship the Buddha statue before class in the morning. But for other faiths, there is an option. But still some teachers used to force even people of other religions to bow down before the Buddha in respect of the Buddhist god. Teacher Mrs. San Tin who teaches grade one forced all her students to bow their heads to the Buddha god. But 5 of our orphans do not want to bow their heads to the idols because they know that this is wrong for Christians to bow down their heads to other gods. I am very happy to hear about the faith of our little orphans even in the midst of such circumstances.

On the 20th of December our Adonai family of orphans had a very joyful Christmas excursion trip to Yazagyo, which is a two-hour drive away. It is the location of a dam, which gives electriciy for our region. It was a very nice place, full of gardens, trees, water falls, fancy boats, and mini-restaurants. We brought the guitar to sing with and had many colors of balloons too. We had fun with games, a talent show, and many kinds of fellowship. We also had a very good delicious chicken biriani (Indian chikcen rice).

Thanks to Private Donors

Our heartfelt thanks go to our private donors: sister Adar form Melbourne for her faithful montly contribution of the equivalent of $72 for house rent plus the water and electric bill. And Mr. Simeon from Midland, Texas of the USA for his generous donation of $50 monthly for the salary of the cook. Without thier financial partnership we could not accomplish our job. We are so thankful to them for their love and support. We ask God's blessings for them.
