POVERTY WALKATHON

WALK LOCALLY, IMPACT GLOBALLY FOR CHRIST

Please join us for the Agape Fish Poverty Walkathon! Your participation will raise awareness and funds for poverty alleviation ministries in East Asia. The donations and registration fees will go toward helping impoverished children and families who struggle to meet their basic needs. Please join us to walk the local 5k and make a global impact for Christ.

Schedule

Bring your walking shoes and a joyful heart. We're celebrating with music, fellowship, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts after the 5K! You are also welcome to dress up in Halloween costumes for additional fun. Strollers and dogs with leash are welcome.

Fundraising instructions

Get your game on! We will award medals to the top three fastest runners and the top three participants who raised the most money. We encourage you to form teams to fundraise. Please update the shared Google Sheet with your pledges and claim your fishes by Wednesday, October 25th. Bring an envelope with donation checks and a list of donors (names, address, email) for tax receipts to be sent to your friends. For each $100 you raise (not including $25 registration fees), you will receive a free T-shirt (limit 4 per family). T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event as another way to support our cause. Click the Google Sheet link below to update your team's fundraising progress.

If 350 people each give $100 this year, we can help meet physical and spiritual needs for 500 children and families in 7 different countries. Your support will improve the quality of life for people in Burma, Cambodia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, and also enable them to hear the good news of Jesus.

This year our goal is to raise $35,000 from the community to support these 12 ministries in 7 different countries. So far we have already raised $6,676. We are tracking our fundraising progress by filling in 1 of the 350 fish for every $100 donated. Will you help us fill in the rest of the fish?

Parking and Check-in

Free parking is available at Berryessa Community Center. Please check in for the Poverty Walkathon at the playground.
