Impacting the world, one child at a time

Our mission is to support kingdom ministries in East Asia to impact the world as Jesus commissioned.

Here's the story of how we do that.

Meet Biak

Age: 8

Village: Hman Daw

Father: Deceased (2010)

Mother: Deceased (2015)
Biak is an 8-year-old boy who comes from the village of Hman Daw in Burma. His father was a drug addict who had HIV and died in 2010. His mother also had HIV and died in December 2015. There was nobody to take care of him.

Meet Thian

Age: 9

Village: Mai Nuai

Father: Deceased (2014)

Mother: Imprisoned (2015)
Thian is a 9-year-old girl who comes from the small village of Mai Nuai in Burma. Her father died in a car accident in 2014. Her mother was doing illegal business with heroine, and in 2015 she was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Thian cried and went to her church pastor for help.

What could be done to help these orphans in Burma?

God had been working in the heart of Rev. Thang in Kalaymyo, Burma. He wanted to start an orphanage to care for abandoned children, a place where they could live safely, eat nourishing food, have an education, and most importantly, have a relationship with Jesus as their Savior.

In April 2016, Rev. Thang learned about Biak. He went to the village and brought him home. In May 2016, Thian’s pastor called Rev. Thang and asked him to take her in. The orphanage was established that month to meet the needs of children like these. One by one, Rev. Thang took in 11 orphans in 2016. And he hopes to care for 4 more in 2017.

Where would the resources come from to care for these orphans?

How could Rev. Thang clothe, feed, and educate all the children?

That’s where Agape Fish Fund comes in.

Our mission is to support kingdom ministries in East Asia like this Burma orphanage. We focus on East Asia because it is one of the poorest, least-evangelized regions in the world.

Hand-Selected Partner Ministries

We screen partners through a rigorous application, interview process, and vet promising ministries that have these characteristics:
Picture
Alleviate Poverty
Picture
Evangelize and Disciple
Picture
Need Support
Picture
Commit to Accountability
The ministries make a proven impact to alleviate poverty and improve quality of life for people in need. The ministries also invest in long-term evangelism and discipleship. They share our values of meeting people’s felt needs as well as their spiritual needs.

We partner with ministries that are still maturing and need support to meet their goals and increase their impact. They must display a commitment to accountability and transparency. Our partners agree to submit reports and show how funds are being used.

How We Support Them

Picture
Behind the Scenes
We are committed to due diligence and helping the ministries grow. We pray for them, provide emotional and spiritual support, and help them develop transparency disciplines for financial credibility and sustainability. We even visit them in person to verify results first-hand.

In the Christian Community
We raise awareness and funds for the ministries to increase their support network. Our goal is to connect individuals, communities, and churches in the West (like you!) with the ministries in East Asia.

Partner Ministries' Needs 2017

This is where you come in. This year our goal is to raise $35,000 to support 12 different ministries, including the Burma orphanage. Through Agape Fish Fund, you have a centralized platform to support multiple ministries in rural East Asia. (Check out Needs for more information.)
