Agape Fish Fund partners with O'Keefe, which provides tutoring and mentorship to low income students in East Palo Alto. This year we'd like to enrich 12 of the students with field trips to see a nativity drama and to provide school supplies for them. It’s summertime! Our ministry partner O’Keefe has been busy these past few months, wrapping up the school year strong with their tutoring program for low income students. AprilWe continued the weekly tutoring sessions on Thursday and Monday, one for middle school students and one for elementary school students. The fun event this month was taking a Thursday to decorate cookies with the kids. What a great way to celebrate spring break. MaySome of the kids were starting to finish their homework already, so the challenge was to keep them productive during the tutoring time. Our tutors still wanted to give them their attention, even if it meant reviewing the homework to check it over. End of Year Field Trip to the ZooAt the end of May we went to the San Francisco Zoo for our end of the year field trip. It was so much fun! We saw lions and tigers and giraffes and gorillas and many more. The kids and adult chaperones all had a great time! JuneMallory is heading up a reading club for the kids this summer! We've never seen the kids AND the tutors more focused. We sure know how to have fun at book club! Here are some photos from June 15th. JulyWe have some fun activities planned for July!
