Mid-Project Report: Taiwan Laborers (March 2019)

Agape Fish Fund partners with Pastor Charlie and Mary to provide basic necessities and Christian care for exploited migrant workers in Taiwan.

Letter from Pastor Charlie

Dear family and friends,
 
In God’s grace, our family returned to Taiwan. The children have gone back to school and seen classmates that they hadn’t seen for a long time. We were concerned about how they would catch up with their friends in terms of academics and the school’s atmosphere. To our surprise, we are proud that our young ones have been adjusting fine and are happy. Praise God for the relief in our heart!
 
A number of ladies have become Christians. Subsequently, we’ve been teaching basic lessons of faith in preparation for baptism at Easter. Furthermore, a few others have diligently witnessed to their families. God has used their testimonies to touch the hearts of their loved ones. It’s exciting news!

Updates

After years of prayers, missionaries are welcomed to this new detention center.

In lack of freedom, many detainees find the real freedom in Christ every week.

Praise the Lord that some of the believers have witnessed and brought relatives to church.

Prayer requests

Please pray for the following requests:

1. Sister Uyen is held as captive by her husband. Pray for God’s mercy to deliver her.
2. Pray that workers could find Christian fellowships after going back to Vietnam.
3. Conflict of work schedules prevents many ladies from attending church meetings. Pray for God’s leading.
