Adonai Child Rehabilitation is a Christian faith-based ministry in Kalaymyo, Burma that was established in May 2016. This ministry creates a place of rehabilitation for children and teenagers from various backgrounds like orphans, unwanted children, street children, and poor children.

God's Wonderful Provision

We really thank God for His wonderful guidance in the midst of different kinds of hindrances and difficulties. We are thankful for all our prayer partners from inside and outside of the country. We love to express our special thanks to Agape Fish Fund, which is our main donor organization and has a real heart of love for the Myanmar orphans. We appreciate their heart for the kingdom of God. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to all the private donors and friends that help us in many ways so that ACR could continue providing food and transforming the beautiful lives of the disadvantaged vulnerable children.

We thank God for His wonderful provision for our orphans during the month of August 2017. I was invited to give youth training at Hakha, Chin state of Myanmar. God motivated some people there and they gave me some donations to help our orphans’ ministry. Through that love donation, we could provide good nutrition for the orphans. We are also thankful to the organization called Feed My Starving Children that helps the starving children in Myanmar. They kindly accepted our appeal and granted us with 20 boxes of rice packs for our Adonai orphans. The rice pack is called Manna Pack; it is mixed with many kinds of minerals and vitamins. God is really amazing for His children. All the orphans were very happy and enjoyed the Manna Pack rice every day. Glory to a wonderful God.

Family Ministry

ACR’s vision is not just to give care to the orphans; it is a family ministry to help the vulnerable children for the kingdom of God. Our family and relatives have a heart for feeding, helping, and transforming the orphans. My sister-in-law is in Melbourne with her family, and she is always helping our ministry through regular donations. Also, my younger brother who works in Midland, Texas, is helping the orphans’ ministry through regular donations. My family also gives full attention to the needs of the orphans; we give for the orphans from our savings whenever there's a shortage in the budget.

Gift of new Outfits

We give glory to God for the donors who provided new outfits for the orphans. The donors are my younger brother Mr. Ral Lian Kap who works at a medical company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and my nephew Mr. Van Lawm Thang, who works at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These two relatives recently purchased new clothes and sent them to us for the orphans. They wanted to bless the orphans with new outfits. We do appreciate their heart for the orphans.

Remarkable Improvement

ACR has two main priorities for the orphans' growth: spiritual and educational. We aim to bring them up with a knowledge of salvation through Jesus Christ and to help them have a good education.
  1. Spiritual Improvement: As we have devotions, prayer, and Bible teaching every day, the orphans know that God is the creator and Jesus is the Savior. They pray to God with their whole heart, and they sing with full concentration. They can memorize Bible verses and recite them without looking. They can sing beautiful songs and even perform good motions to go with the lyrics. They develop daily with their knowledge of the Bible.
  2. Educational Improvement: All 9 orphans are doing well in their education. Mrs. Rev. Thang is helping them study their assignments. Every night, they study well, and after studying for some hours, they can recite their assignments without looking. We cultivate their skill of education this way, and they get good grades on every test.

Pray with Us for Electricity

We have been depending on a private generator for power since we don't have proper electricity. We have been paying monthly to use a private company's generator. Now the government is giving electricity to our town. But every home needs to pay for the electric pole, cables, meter box, and installation. Our government could not help cover all the costs, so they require us to pay for all of this ourselves. I (Rev. Thang) had given the equivalent of $120 for the pole and cables, but approximately another $250 will be required for the meter box, cables for indoor fixing, electric bulbs, and installation. We hope the electric power will be available in the orphans’ home before the end of this year. If we have electric power, we will no longer need firewood for cooking, which wastes time in the cooking process, and there will not be any trouble studying at night. We hope God will help us with the cost of electricity.

Thanks to all the donors

We are thankful for our main donor organization Agape Fish Fund for their generous support to feed the orphans. We also express our heartfelt thanks to the charity organization called Feed My Starving Children based in Yangon for their love offering of some rice boxes. And we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our regular private donors—Mrs. Adar from Australia and Mr. Simeon from Texas—for their love donation to help with the cost of the orphan’s ministry. Also we say thanks to Mr. Ral Lian Kap and Mr. Van Lawm Thang from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia for their love gifts of beautiful outfits for our orphans. We are praying God’s blessings for all of them. Thanks to all the donors for their hearts of love for the poor orphans. May the Lord bless them all.

Updates on Each Orphan

ACR is a place of rehabilitation for orphans, like a place of refuge in the Old Testament time. We want the orphans to have safety, peace, freedom, and nurturing through the word of God. Not only do we feed them nutritious food, but we also emphasize building them according to the standards of Christian core values.

In 2016, ACR started out with 11 orphans. However, 3 orphans left ACR, and we accepted another orphan girl, so now we have 9 orphans this year. The 3 orphans who left us are:
  1. Ms. Tluang Za Dim: All of her relatives agreed for her to stay at our orphanage. She stayed for a number of months, but after that time she decided she didn't want to stay anymore. After talking with her relatives, we decided it would be best for her to return to them.
  2. Mr. Joshua: His relatives thought that his mother was dead in Malaysia since she was a drunkard. However, after spending many years in a Malaysia prison, she returned home last year. She wanted her son to live with her, and we asked her how she will provide for his food and education. Joshua didn't want to return to his mom, but she took him back anyway. He wanted to stay at ACR, and we are sad for him. We pray for God's guidance in his life.
  3. Mr. Piang Piang: He is a very good boy, 13 years old. His mother is old and has TB. The villagers called us and said that his mother is seriously sick and wanted to see her son before she died. So Piang Piang went home to see his mother and didn't come back. He was willing to give up his education to take care of her. We are sorry for his situation.
