The crowds thronged after Jesus. He was healing the sick. He was speaking words of truth. He was giving life. Setting aside their daily agendas, their workaday lives—and even their own appetites—they followed Him up the mountain that day. All 5,000 of them. Jesus knew they were starving. And not just spiritually. He knew that their stomachs were growling in ravenous demand. So he accepted the humble offering from a little boy—the simple meal of five barley loaves and two fish. He gave thanks, and the disciples distributed the food. It was a free, all-you-can-eat fish and bread buffet for 5,000 hungry people. And after everyone was stuffed, they still had 12 baskets of leftovers. That’s the kind of God we serve. And that’s the vision behind what we do at Agape Fish Fund. We see the needs of the multitudes who live in poverty. We want to help them follow Jesus and also to help meet their basic necessities. It takes faith in our mighty God. It also takes the fish and loaves to start with. In order to support our partner ministries, we’re praying that this year 350 people will be like the boy who presented a humble offering. A donation of $100 will be like a fish, given in faith to be multiplied for kingdom ministry. Will you be one of 350 people to give $100? The hungry are waiting. If 350 people each give $100 this year, we can help meet physical and spiritual needs for 500 children and families in 7 different countries. Learn more about our partner ministries' needs.
